Description
  • Written on back: "Bob, crossing the river near home on bamboo rope which the farmers cross on and carry their produce across on. A hollow piece of wood is slipped over this heavy woven bamboo rope, from which is a short rope suspended with a croos-stick of wood tide on. One straddles this suspended stick and puts the arm over the wood piece, and a small rope is pull from the other shore, pulling the person across. B Has (?); (1929)." Photograph from the J.N.
