When they die, good people become angels who watch over their loved ones. 3. People who die become ghosts. 4. People who are alive can talk with people who have died. This week’s Factory gives some good factual comebacks you can use if you ever hear these lies. While some of these beliefs may comfort people when their loved ones die, I find my greatest comfort in knowing that my loved ones and I will experience the journey to heaven together. When Jesus returns, “the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17, NIV). In this week’s Guide magazine, we have put together some stories and facts to help you better understand and share the truth about death. I hope you find these truths comforting.
