J. Arthur Buckwalter worked for the church for many years at the General Conference level. In the late 1940s, he served as the editor of the magazine, Listen, and worked in the Temperance Department at the General Conference. During the 1950s, he served as a pastor at the General Conference and served as the Associate Secretary of the Ministerial Association at the General Conference.
