A sling of the type used by David when he killed Goliath (1 Sam. 17) and still common in the Near East is examined by Keith Snyder, a visitor to the Andrews University Archaeological Museum. After a stone is placed in the pouch, the sling is swung in a circle above the head and then released. By selecting a smooth round stone, the user of the sling can achieve a better aim. The museum at Andrews was dedicated Saturday afternoon, January 17, 1970, and hundreds of persons viewed the exhibits during guided tours throughout the day. Keith is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Snyder. Dr. Snyder is a professor at Indiana University at South Bend.
